I'm no fan of Richard Williamson. This much is obvious. The guy's a kook, and that's being nice. So it comes as no surprise that he has missed the boat when in comes the the merciful lifting of the excommunications by Benedict. Of course, he missed the boat because he refused to get on it. Boats are a bit too modern for this dude.

Oddly enough, he finds time to rail against Rome, decry the TSA (he might have a point on that one) and do the troofer dance about the facts of 9-11. Yet, he does not raise his voice for the unborn. One of the most important elections this nation ever faced, and nary a word. Perhaps he didn't want to be seen on the side of Rome. Just struck me as funny.

Someone who might just get on the Bark of Peter, swim the Tiber or whatever you might want to say, is none other than Fellay. Which I must admit stuns me. He properly gave Williamson the smack down he deserved and apologized to the Holy Father. Wonders never cease. But grace does seem to have permeated this situation.

What can I say? The whole juggling act isn't something I do well. While my heart is as a blogger, well reality is that I am a homeschool mother of three, who also works part time. But there's just so much going on, I can't keep all my thoughts to myself.

First of all, melt the phone lines!!!! The Generational Theft Act of 2009 is on it's way. And the public is angry. My brave, wonderful senators have turned off their phone lines. This is the message that Ed Morrisey readers are sending:

Red State is compiling a list of the weaselly McCain staffers who are smearing Sarah. Aptly named Operation Leper. There's a growing movement from McCain donors demanding their money back due to Mac's silence concerning the smears. At this point, the campaign is agree to refunds. I call the RNC headquarters and told them not to come looking for money from me again. If I have money, it's going to Sarah's election fund.

Rahm Emmanuel, the Great Merciful One's chief of staff, doesn't pay property tax. His home is the office of the Rahn Emmanuel and Amy Rule Charitable Foundation, which donates money to their children's school. And that's about it. I donate money to my kids school, which is also based in my home. I gotta look into this.

People gathered outside the Great and Merciful One's Illinois office demanding money. Didn't take long now did it? Except they actually did work for this money. The campaign's response? The check's in the mail.

Michelle Obama's dress has now been more vetted than her great and merciful husband.

An Open Letter to John McCain.

Dear John McCain,

Thank you. Thank you for giving me so many reasons to not mourn your loss. The disgusting behavior of your campaign staff shows how petty and small minded the people you surround yourself with are. In your rush to be loved by the media again, behavior reminiscent of a battered woman, your staffers have engaged in a campaign of vicious smears, lies and juvenile behavior. Your true character shines through, as does your running mate's.

Where are you? What kind of leadership are you providing? You said during your concession speech that the fault was yours, you lost the election. (Damn right, by the way) So what's with the Sarah trashing? Why? What's the point? Take your loss like a man!

Let's assume for a minute that ever little thing your staffers say about her is true. (Not that I believe that for a minute) But let's say that. SO WHAT? Sarah is a bright light in the Republican party, you saw the crowds she drew, you saw the money she brought in. So why would you stab her in the back? Why would you try to destroy one of our best hopes for the future? Dude, you're 72. You are old. You are not the future. I have years left in this country, my children have years left. You might be able to retreat to one of you seven houses, but we still have to live and work in this country for decades. We would like the option of Sarah in the future. So why would you so arrogantly take her away from us, especially with such nasty, slimy attacks. You were quick to denounce the South Carolina Republican Party for their ads that showed Jeremiah Wright. Your silence on Sarah is deafening. And screams volumes about your character.

You do so love to work with Democrats. So try learning something from them. Look at how they behaved after the 2000 and 2004 elections. They closed ranks around themselves and blamed everyone but themselves for their losses. Would it kill you to defend Sarah with half the passion they exhibited?

Sarah has shown her class, she laughs off the attacks from her own party. She speaks well of you “I love him…I honor him.” Well sir, will you step up with the dignity that Sarah has constantly shown through this campaign? You made clear your anger at tactics allegedly from the Bush campaign during the 2000 primary. Well, you have one upped them. She stepped up and helped you immensely. And this is how you thank her.

Thank you, at the State and Federal level, for your continued fight to federalize education and create the 18-40 year olds who just voted in the last election. Your commitment to providing federal and state tax money has proven to be successful in creating learners for the 21st century who can “think critically” and understand that America is wrong, we are killing the planet and their change from the cashier is correct. Yes their improved reading skills let them recognize that on the cash register. Please keep-throwing money at the problem under the guise of local control while the unions and the consultants with the next curriculum scams line up.

Thank you, for having the courage to keep federal judges from being appointed when you had the opportunity three years ago because you did not want to offend the minority party. I am confident they will show the same restraint while the debate on the floor of the Senate continues during the next Congress. Thank you again for the allowing, over the next four years, Supreme Court judges to be nominated, that will minimize the gains made by appointing judges who interpret the Constitution not create law from the bench.

Thank you, for making sure the “Fairness Doctrine” is back on the table. I am sure Republicans will be able to get their message out across the non-biased media coverage in this country. This past election was a shining example of how that will work in the future. Whatever you do, do not demand that Universities across the Country, that accept public funds, be required to provide both sides of an issue when inviting speakers on campus. You would be impeding on free speech and you certainly do not want be counter productive to all the appropriations already spent on early and secondary education. By the time they are at a University they are not aware there is another opinion.

Thank you, for putting the final nail in the coffin for private healthcare. If it were not for Republicans, taxpayers would not have the opportunity to pay for their own healthcare and anyone else’s who has the “Constitutional Right” to it. We all look forward to having our Country bankrupted even further and the quality of care diminished.

Thank you, for the continually diminishing property rights across the Country by supporting Heritage Sites, various organizations like the Chesapeake Bay Commission, the EPA and other federal agencies that do your dirty work under the guise of conservation. Your efforts to continually erode property rights while pretending you are preserving the future of our children’s heritage is brilliant (See critical thinkers of the 21st Century above).

Thank you, for continually pouring money into foreign countries and the United Nations. There outpouring of graciousness is quite frankly overwhelming. I truly wish we could give more.

And lastly thank you for all the wasted spending year in and year out. The fact that you kept spending, waste and fraud in check as you were elected to do is truly remarkable and a testament to the Republican philosophies you ran on to get elected.

There is not enough space to thank you enough. Actually I believe in 2006 and November 4, 2008, you were thanked the best you could have been. But, as in the last 10 years don’t sweat it. The American taxpayer will pay for your follies and burden generations to come. Truly, THANK YOU for everything you have accomplished.

Dear Sarah,

It's remarkable that hours after your selection as John McCain's running mate, people were refering to you as just that....Sarah. You touched so many Americans, especially American moms, showing us that yes we can.

So it broke my heart to see your comment today, gracious as it was, "If I cost McCain even one vote--I'm sorry." Let's face it, you did cost John McCain votes. You cost him the votes of men who hated you because you were smart, successful and a mother. Like the piece of work who commented to my sister that you were stupid and a b*****. But that he would f*** you because you were hot. My sister made sure to point out to this lovely piece of humanity that he had been drinking in a bar since 3pm and you were a governor--the most popular one in the country at that--of a state. So his opinion on anyone's intelligence, well we don't give a rip. He didn't vote for you. And I'm glad he didn't

There are the women who hate you because you are a mother. There are the women who hate you because you appear to have everything. There are the women who hate you because you allowed your non-typical son, Trig, to be born. Your motherhood was a slap in the face to them. And I'm glad they didn't vote with us.

On the other hand, I volunteered for McCain, because he selected you. The weekend of your selection, 10 million dollars were raised. Contributions up by 40%, volunteers coming out of the woodwork. You gave us hope, and we thank you for it.

I can't count how many people voted for McCain because of you. And how many people were excited to vote for you. There's a reason why Republican headquarters could sell bumper stickers with your name on them, but couldn't give away the just McCain ones.

People hate you because you are good. It's that simple. The rage and derangement directed at you rivaled George Bush. Both of you have firm convictions and you both hold to them. There's nothing wrong with that.

So the McCain Rinos will attack you through Newsweek. Have no fear. People walked away from Jesus Christ Himself, because they didn't like what He said. That's what happens when you live the truth. You were villified by Obama's own bloggers, and it wasn't because they were afraid you might bring down McCain's ticket. They saw the love that poured out for you at your rallies. And they know we are wrapping you in prayer now and will be waiting for you in 2012.

So thank you Sarah, and I do feel like I can call you Sarah. Thank you for speaking the truth. Thank you for living the truth. Thank you for your son Track, serving us all in Iraq. Thank you for your daughter Bristol, for her witness to life. Thank you for your daughter Willow, who's delight at her little brother spoke volumes of the love that encompasses your family. Thank you for your daughter Piper, and could she please return the hearts of red blooded Americans? Thank you for your precious little baby Trig, who, without words, spoke powerfully about the precious nature of each and every life. He gave a face to the thousands who's faces have been destroyed through abortion. Well so here we are. What next? I for one am not a defeatist. This isn't the end of the country, we're not like that. We survived a civil war, slavery, segregation, we can survive idiots. Not that the president-elect is an idiot, far from it. That's part of the problem. But the voting public is farly idiotic. Do they have a clue what they voted for?

Michelle Malkin has a list of what we need to begin to fight:
) Oppose the Democrats’ next stimulus boondoggle.
2) Oppose Obama’s windfall profits tax proposal.
3) Oppose new bailouts for states deep in debt.
4) Oppose new foreclosure prevention measures that will simply provide perverse incentives for borrowers to walk away and delay a needed market correction.
5) No more federal loan guarantees for corporations

I would add to that, NO FOCA. And I challenge the bishops to call out Congress. If that bill goes into law, then close down each and every Catholic hospital in the country. No ifs, ands or buts. This is a life and death issue, no more compromise.

Meanwhile the Muslim Brotherhood has accepted "America's apology." Umm, yeah, you run with that.

Well, well, well. Here I am. And I have a three year old screaming at me. Which would explain the failing to blog for the last year and a half. Three children is overwhelming. Three children and working with a husband who lives at work is too much. But now that Baba and Baby are older and Roroman is nearly a year old now, so I am beginning to figure this whole thing out. Oh and did I mention I'm homeschooling now too?

So the election. What can I say? This is the first year I have actually put my money where my mouth always has been and been actually working for McCain Palin. Simply because I wanted to be Sarah Palin when I grew up. Seriously, my goal was to become active in politics and run for president. I don't think that's the path I'll end up on now, but then again you never know.

I don't know how the election will go. I have handed it to God. I think McCain will do better than expected and I think he will win more actual votes. But I don't underestimate Acorn and the Dem's ability to steal anything. So we will see.

But this time I am really back.

I will be in Berkley this May. Originally the vaction plans included California, but not the loons by the Bay. But considering Code Pink's newest tactics against the Marine Corps recreuitment center, we will make a stop. What is occurring there is shameful and embarassing. And I do question the patriotism of those who behave is such a disgraceful and shameful manner. And while the Berkley City Council might consider them unwelcome intruders, I consider them warriors worthy of respect. And my family will pay theirs this spring.

Speaking of moonbats and their displicable tatics, free speech took another blow here in the Portland area. Gregg Schumaucher of Schumaucher Furs was ordered to pay the legal costs of the protestors who illegally ran him out of business. Apparently restraining orders mean jack in that city. The fact that a FBI designated domestic terrorist group--ALF--can parade nude in front of a legally operating business, smear feces and urinate in public, threaten those who patronize the business is all legal. But actually operating the business, well that's not covered under the first amendment. Makes sense, since the courts, in all their immense wisdom, have decided that porn and religious symbols covered in human waste is free speech. It's enough to convince any sane person of moving their business out of Portland. All those trendy coffee shops and eateries....well they all use products from animals. And ALF is opposed to that as well. And they have no worries about harrassing you until to shut down.

Everyone has their limit. I have found mine. I work for a school that pays diddly squat for work that takes three times as long as they say it should. That is, if you want to do it well. I tutor for children whose parents convienently forget to let you know when they cancel, and decide not to pay for months at a time. I am obsessive compulsive about my home and enabler to a newborn son who believes that life outside the arms of a woman is not worth living. I have found my limit.

But blogging was certainly a joy of mine. Failure to blog ate at me, but then became something that was more that which could have been. I refuse to sit and think about what I could have said, or wanted to say. So here we go again. It was my pregnancy which first caused me to cease and desist. And now that that is behind me, we begin again.

Well, there are certainly plenty of issue for our Government to be addressing. I, for one, am simply thrilled that they took on the issue of what is said as the flag is folded at veterans' funerals. Seriously, what kind of weasles pitch a fit about this? These men gave everything, and you (one solitary individual) are whining about "the narration in the 11th fold, which celebrates Jewish war veterans and “glorifies the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac and the God of Jacob.”

My husband appears to be physically incapable of finishing any project around the house. He drags his feet like no one I have ever seen. And he is physically incapable of coming home from work on time. All of this adds up to one irrritated wife.......and then God smacks me upside the head.

Today kicks off Islamo-Facisim Awareness week on college campii through the country. They have already had to deal with smears and lies, from Muslim student association, but that's okay, it was only satire. It's a good wake-up call, even for those who wonder what is truly wrong with a facist society.

This video is extremely disturbing, but must be seen by anyone who cares about the rights and dignity of all women, not just those who want to get abortions whenever they feel like it. It's also excellent for those who want the baseboards installed in their bathrooms and are annoyed that it's been three months already. Try taking that complaint to anyone of those women.

More important that having a husband who is actually a man and not an animal is the fact that my daughters have a father and not a satanic master. He would give his life for them, how many little girls in the middle east can really say that? Or even rest easy knowing that Daddy there to take care of them. How many little boys will grow up with a father showing them how to be a man, how to love his wife as Christ loves His church.

So tonight I will shut up about the projects around the house. I give 48 hours before my nesting instincts kick in again. But still, I know what I have been blessed with and what I must care for.

There is nothing to encourage me to resume blogging like a website devoted to the random "thoughts" of none other than Richard Williamson, of schismatic fame.

And what, pray tell, has the good schismatic's surplus is a twist this week? Why female doctors of the Church, of course! Now of all the things to fret and complain about....this didn't even make my list, and that's saying something!

Nevertheless for the Pope to declare them Doctors, i.e. teachers, is to encourage Catholic women to set up in public as teachers. St. Thomas Aquinas (IIa IIae, 177, art 2) has three reasons against this.Firstly he quotes St. Paul (II Tim II, 12): “I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to use authority over the man: but to be in silence.” St. Thomas distinguishes here public from private teaching: in the home a mother must teach her children, in a quasi-domestic setting a woman may well teach, specially girls and little boys.

Now, I am not one to pooh-pooh anything the Angelic Doctor has to say, but I have seen him misapplied is certain areas, marriage in particular, and I do caution against reading this 13th century author with 21st century eyes. And I do wonder how exactly we are to understand this quote from St. Paul, since two verses later he says that women are saved through child-bearing. Which begs the question, if we are to read him literally, what about nuns? What about the three women declared Doctors of the Church. Not a single child born between them, and yet there is no doubt as to their salvation status.

And while I am not one to argue with St. Paul, I do wonder what he would make of Catherine of Siena's earful she gave to none other than the Pope himself. Or does that constitute a quasi-domestic setting? And just what is a quasi-domestic setting? Does a school count? Can nuns teach, oh great schismatic?

I would take St. Paul seriously, but not necessarily literally. I do believe that the hierarchy of the Church is appropriately masculine, but that God does expect you to use the talents He bestows upon you.

Now, there might be something to be said for Williamson's comments had he stopped there, although I might disagree with his interpretation that Doctor of the Church is a teaching position, but whatever. At this point he descends into none other than sheer doofiness.

Secondly, any woman set up in public view is liable to arouse unclean desire in men. Thirdly, “women in general are not so perfect in wisdom as to be entrusted with public teaching.”

Words of wisdom brought to you by the first bishop of the Taliban. (Yes these are St. Thomas' words, but once again, he was writing in the 13th century) Seriously, one would think that Williamson has never laid eyes upon a womyn priest before. They inspire much, but I don't any of it constitutes an "unclean desire" in men. Not real men anyway. Case in point......

As for the whole "not perfect wisdom" line, I do have to wonder about the title of Seat of Wisdom....now who did that apply to?

What is in question here is the whole design of God for man and woman as complementary head and heart of the family. Teaching of a public kind is a

Today is the seventh anniversary of the Al Qeada attack on the USS Cole. I admit that the date slipped my mind. I was a senior in college at the time and barely heard anything about it. However, that really is no excuse to fail to honor and recognize the sacrifice these 19 individuals made and how long it is we have been at war.

Michelle Malkin has a lovely tribute up. The Jawa Report (one of my favorite sites) has an excellent overview of the incident. Which could be particularly helpful for those, like myself, who were too wrapped up in our own lives to realize that we were at war.

So yes, I have been AWOL forever, but that's just cuz family comes first. And Mac runs my life at the moment. And will for several more months.

What did I miss? Well tons of stuff, including the inane immigration debacle, which just about destroyed the remaining support of the five people who still back Bush. When he makes it hard for me to defend him, well you know it's pretty much lost. Holding to his guns on Iraq will help rebuild some of the support, but telling those who support the rule of law that they are nothing but closed minded bigots is not the way to build up goodwill.

Then there has been the rash of men killing their wives/girlfriends, pregnant or otherwise. If it's an easy way to dump a kid, I can't quite figure out why people are surprised that society has decided that this is an easy way to dump any inconvenient family member.

Okay, we're going to try this again!!!!

It's been a crazy time in my life. I recently learned that we have now been blessed with a little boy. Named Mac, according to his doting sisters. Well at least Baba dotes on him. She likes to pull up my shirt and talk to him and kiss my stomach. Baby, on the other hand, prefers to give him raspberries. So now my family has been upgraded to Baba, Baby and Mac.

Altogether, I am a big fan of being pregnant with a boy. Much easier than either of the girls. Which shouldn't surprise me, seeing as they are rather high maintence now. If he's not kicking me, which he does often as the good boy that he is, I tend to forget I am pregnant. To an extent anyway. I can't bring my nesting urges under control. Which is why I have been AWOL. I have been painting and creating a playroom for Baba and Baby and all sorts of other things that then leave me exhausted by three pm.

But regret has overcome me and hopefully I am back for good. I saw some things that are too good to pass up. So here I am again, and since Mac is behaving himself, hopefully I am back for the long run.

The grotesque video, which gives you a glimpse of what that country will descend into when we do leave, shows her being pummeled with stones for half an hour, WHILE IRAQI SECURITY FORCES STOOD BY AND WATCHED. The massive crowd, not content to simply murder and defenseless girl made sure to document the slaughter with their cell phone cameras. Oh, and being the men they are, made sure to pull down the unconscious girl's pants.

This story comes on the heals of yet another atrocious story that leaves you wondering what the heck is wrong with Iraqi people? Seriously, what is their problem? How dead are they?

American soldiers discovered a girls school being built north of Baghdad had become an explosives-rigged "death trap," the U.S. military said Thursday.

Are they afraid that if girls are educated they might actually stand up for themselves? They might refuse to allow themselves to be treated as something lower than a goat? So that's why it's a good idea to wire a school to explode?

What do you want to bet, the hope of these sickos, and it was Iraqis who built the school, was that the bomb would go off and somehow it could be blamed on America? Because you know the media would have taken off with that story. I mean, they sure do know ho wot put a great displays of outrage over alleged American soldiers murdering civilians. Rutgers Women have got to get tougher skin. Instead on announcing that Don Imus had scarred them for life, they should have simply ask "Who's he?" Duke Lacrosse. About stinkin' time. And no one is surprised. I did think that one of the player's comments was especially important. Think about those who do not have the financial resources they did, the ability for one agenda driven prosecutor to completely ruin your life is a sobering one.

VTEC shootings. Let that scum rot in the unmarked grave of other cowards and murderers. Shame on NBC for giving him a platform from which to spew his anger and hate. Okay, so there's nothing like a little constant vomiting to keep one from the computer. But don't be too offended, I haven't been anywhere much online...it was just too much work. Much easier to lay on the couch and urge the itsty-bisty one who is the source of all such sickness to hurry up and grow so I don't have to be sick anymore. The euphoria of finding out that there will in fact be a new grandbaby for Christmas has been replaced with the peace that comes after heaving the last meal's contents into the toilet. Especially at 11:30pm. Which I guess gave enough time for essential nutrients be be gleaned before I was informed that "Mac" does not like chicken. Nor does he like Starbucks. Which is slightly annoying because on the new and improved budget, Starbucks is a super-duper special treat. But it does not meet Mac's highly refined standards. Which is good news for the whole budget. The thought of a Cinnamon Dolce Latte simply turns the tummy one too many times. Actually the thought of coffee completely turns the stomach.

Which is part of the reason I haven't been here in so long. I had a whole little routine going. Which involved coffee in the morning and some blogging. But getting up wasn't any fun, and coffee has ceased to fit into the whole equation, so my whole routine was thrown off. I am trying to get back onto the wagon, but hey sitting up is not all it's cracked up to be.

And news of Mac's eventual arrival has led to some discussions as to what shape the home will take now that adults are officially outnumbered. And that's true right now. Dude, the littlest guy is so kicking my rear that I can't really keep up with the other two. Who, are being rather angelic I must say, going so far as to name the baby in Mommy's tummy....Mac. No I don't have a clue where that came from.

Anyway, while exteriorly the house will remain the same, that which was the office will now become the playroom/potential boy's room. Which leaves me no real place to establish a blogging atmosphere. Translation, I'm thinking the original plan to leave the computer in the playroom, is not such a hot one, so it will most likely end up in our bedroom, which will eliminate one of my favorite computer times....quiet time. Unless I train Mac to sleep through typing, which might just be the way to go. All of this thinking has left me tired and unmotivated and overwhelmed by how much junk....err collectibles, we have to liquidate from the premises. Hubby hasn't been too johnny on the spot when it comes to ebaying, not that the guy has a plethora of free time, but he is amenable to me actually starting to list things, and not just organizing them for him. That's step one, actually clearing out of the office all the unbelievable just/collectibles that are oozing from every available square inch of the house. Speaking of which, can I interest you in 157 beanie babies? Or an Avon chess set? All the bottles are still full.

Michelle Malkin blogs from her closet, so losing the office won't be that bad, especially since we are gaining a playroom. I'm thinking a superhero theme to offset the princess bedroom. And I have found the outfit that Mac will wear home from the hospital, should he stay on the masculine path that his sister has ordained for him. It's pretty cool. And I have decided that I need a Moses basket, to fit right by the computer. I haven't priced those yet, I might just find out that I can live without one.

Cardinal Mahony finally remembered that he works for God. He denounced the assisted offing of old and sick people bill making its way through the California legislature.

Hartford Archbishop Henry J. Mansell Thursday said he was working with legislative leaders to craft a "mutually respectful" solution to legislation that would require all hospitals that receive public funds - including Catholic hospitals - to offer emergency birth control.

Talk about wimping out! I'd reject public funds. And if the hospital can't stay open, so be it. Better to shut your doors completely rather than assist in the destruction of innocent life.

Which leads nicely to this next story. Teachers in England are no longer teaching about the Holocaust, in order to not offend some students. So Iran decided to flex its muscles and kidnapped 15 British sailors. Apparently in all the muscle flexing, a couple muscles were pulled and now there is some serious backtracking. Certainly not fast enough for my tastes and most definitely not fast enough for the families of those kidnapped. Maybe the UN should buy a big map for Iran with their borders highlighted for them.

I'm disappointed with Tony Blair's handling of this matter. Although he is beginning to get tough, but really, maybe someone should remember how Ronald Reagan handled situations with Iran's navy. Then again, it could get a lot more serious as Iran is also threatening to charge the kidnapped sailors as "spies." Don't know what spies they have in Iran, but here in western civilization, spies don't tend to wear uniforms or sail on their own ships. And, for bizarre reasons, don't fight back while being kidnapped.

Meanwhile, Muslims in the United States are focusing their attention on more pressing issues. Such as threatening Ayaan Hirsi Ali. Meanwhile, back off the ranch, ROSIE! is spouting Iran's version of events. Since Iran is such a reliable source of info, what with their holocaust denial and herbal cure for AIDS. I am beginning to doubt that the 2008 elections will provide any cure for Bush Derangement Syndrome. It will just manifest itself in different ways. But I feel better knowing that ROSIE! knows the truth. Does she know that if these clowns were running the world, which she apparently wants, that she would be flogged and a wall pushed on top of her. Of course, if she survived for thirty minutes, they'd let her live.

Iran is making their wishes very clear. I say, honor them. Teach them what it means to bring a knife to a gun fight. I know I'm dreaming....but maybe if Fred Thompson is elected.

What is wrong with the New York Times? Good grief, I could make up more believable stories than the stuff they come up with. I seriously doubt this woman has met boot camp anytime in this decade, but in Iraq, dude, no way.

But she seriously believes that she was in Iraq, and raped by fellow service members. Which smacks of the Dan Rather school of justification "It's not the veracity of a particular charge, but the seriousness the charge itself." The NYT knew she was full of it four days before publication, but went for broke anyway. And didn't bother publishing a correction for a full week.

Keeping this in mind, I am going to bravely announce, the NYT tried to kill my family. Because it is all about the seriousness of the charge and all that. I mean, these guys are so deep in bed with Al Qeada, they share pajamas.

The Jayson Blair Times has really been going out of its way to humiliate itself recently. That is, it would be humiliated if it hadn't sold out itself respect years ago. The Times had to publish a correction of a story bemoaning the draconian abortion laws in Ecuador that resulted in a woman being sentenced to thirty years in jail for murder. Of course, she was sentenced to jail for actually murdering her child who was born, and then murdered. I know, details, details. Oh yeah, and don't forget about the baby who was yanked from her mother and forcibly weaned just because her mother didn't have documents. It might be hard to remember her, since she doesn't exist. Everyone knows that the Duke lacrosse players were railroaded, which is why Mike Nifong faces serious sanctions from the North Carolina Bar, everyone except those working at the New York Times. See that would be the truth, which apparently is not fit for print.

Who could forget the NYT publishing details on how the government monitored terrorist transactions through banking channels. There was no reason to do so, and they were asked not to, but no, out came the story. Followed by the publisher admitting they really shouldn't have done so. YA THINK? Either they are idiots or traitors. Or, my personal favorite, they are idiot traitors.

And who could forget the glorious moment when the NYT thought they had so totally busted Bush and could blame him for sharing information on Iraq's nuclear program with Iran. You catch that? IRAQ'S NUCLEAR PROGRAM.

Duffy and Cardinal O'Connor are no longer available for comment, I think they might be just a little concerned with a Catholic University allowing such misrepresentation of Catholic teaching on campus.

Have no fear parents. Your children are safe from the evils of hazing at Savannah State University. After new members of a Christian club, Commissioned II Love (C2L), were subjected to brutal foot washing by senior members, faculty stepped in. The group was suspended for hazing new members, oh yeah, and harassing people. Several mind numbed robots....uh, college students complained that C2L members had a "cult-like mentality." No word on what mindlessly repeating everything your professors screech and wearing whatever MTV tells you to qualifies as.

Not satisfied with suspending a club that encouraged not only care for its members, but also personal hygiene, the school expelled the C2L from campus. See, in a superduper mean plot to ruin everyones' life, some members of the club met off campus at a Christian music event. Can you believe how sneaky they were? Silly students, to think freedom of association, freedom of religion and freedom of speech applied to you. See those rights only apply to approved school clubs like Non-Traditional Student Organization, Sisters Striving for Excellence, Interracial Communication Project,National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemise & Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) and, of course, SSU Cheerleaders.

Of course, the school was not prepared for barbarity on such a level. Clearly, the student handbook will have to be rewritten seeing that at the time such outrageous behavior occurred hazing was defined as "to subject a student to an activity which endangers or is likely to endanger the physical health of a student, regardless of a student's willingness to participate in such activity." There's also the hilarious comment on free speech No rights are more highly regarded ... than the first amendment guarantees of freedom of speech [and] freedom of expression." The new and improved version of the student handbook will include "Except when students decide to attend an off campus concert of Christian music. Nothing gives you the right to engage in such irresponsible behavior."

Not content to keep such dangerous and cult-like behavior to themselves, the students are suing.

In other news, the German contingent of the International Student Association has determined that wife beating is an acceptable form of self-expression.

Roger Mahoney is a disaster. He has been from the beginning and will be for the next five years. If the thought process behind his remaining in office included forcing him to clean up his mess, I don’t think that message has been properly conveyed. Plenty of people are weighing in on the matter. A lot has to do with an apparent lie Mahoney was caught in. (And why are we surprised?) He either lied to the Vatican, or he lied to investigators and his flock.

Interesting arguments are made that it is high time that Mahoney be removed, both by a lawyer and a canon lawyer. I’m not holding my breath, cuz I’ll die before he is removed, but you have got to wonder why this guy is still running LA into the ground.

And the sleeze factor is just disgusting. I keep going back the whole millstone river thing that Chirst said. At what point and time does the Church decide that too much is at stake? Forget the lawsuits, forget the stuff that might have to be sold off, at what cost of souls does someone like Mahoney get to keep running the country's largest diocese? That's what's important here, people are hurting for the truth and they are not getting it. And I think a guy who says that sexual attraction towards a nine year old should not prevent someone from the priesthood ought not to have a say about much of anything when it comes to faith and morals.

Attorneys who refused to investigate voter fraud here in my own state and what are our elected cowards doing? Calling for Gonzales’ resignation, not this partisan witch-hunt what it is….So no, until we actually get men in there and not wimps, you ain’t seeing my money.) Then again, Germany’s never been really big on protecting the weak and powerless. Wonder what this moonbat would say about the police officer caught beating up a woman in a bar…oh wait, they’re not married so it’s probably still wrong. Give it a couple weeks.

Now, while I wouldn't put it past Cindy Sheehan to write the president of Iran, Mockmood Iminneedofajihad, still I can't quite buy that even she is the author of this letter. Of course, due to fear of "Bush and his gangs or his security forces" disruption of her fight, she can't sign her name, or give her address. Probably because it would indicate that she is the next door neighbor of Iminneedofajihad, or one of the Dixie Chicks.

The lack of mastery of basic English is also an indication that just maybe the president of Iran is not on the up and up when it comes to the origins of this letter. Then again, maybe the author was educated in Washington DC. But the dead give away that this letter is a fraud, other than referring to Iminneedofajihad as logical, can be found in this phrase

Even a great number of American mothers who their sons were not sent to Iraq, are agree with me.

Everybody knows that the correct phrasing would be "All your mothers are belong to us." Followed by "And soon, all your base are belong to U.S."

And who thinks that the kids on Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? are so totally fed the answers? Really, since a study just revealed that one third of Washington DC is illiterate. But that might not be fair, since they did base the study on who could read the current tax code and explain it. Oh, yeah, California isn't looking any better.

So when Rosie announces that he doesn't look so good after three years in US custody, a hard hitting journalist like WaWa Walters really ought to ask her how she knows. She yelled, "So we finally got the guy. He just so happened to admit to all of these things. And it's not Bin Laden? It's this guy?" She then said that she doesn't believe he's responsible for any of it, and that we Americans tortured him and got him to admit to it. News flash ROSIE! This guy is the uncle of the mastermind of the first World Trade Center bombing. We knew from day one that this guy was involved. Now, I distinctly remember being told about six thousand times to "be vigilant" by just about every elected official in existence. So what happens if people are vigilant? Why the flying imams sue them, that's what.

The lawsuit also claims that a couple sitting behind some of the imams in the terminal were "purposely turning around to watch" them as they prayed, and that a "John Doe" then picked up his cell phone and made a call while he watched them pray.

Now, I think the lawyers who are involved with this ought to be disbarred and run out of town on a rail. For heaven's sake, did they not even ask how the heck this was possible? And how, if these clowns were so wrapped up in their prayers, did they know what people BEHIND them were doing? Something's going right in Gillette Wyoming. And contrary to what the naysayers might say, I have high hopes for Wyoming Catholic College.

An activist lesbian couple “married” in Canada may no longer receive Holy Communion in the Catholic Church, after having been told by their pastor that their homosexual behavior and advocacy of same-sex unions prevent them from being Catholics in good standing.

There is no easy way to tell people that their actions have severed their ties to the Catholic Church. Especially when it is so wrapped up it emotions. And yet, this priest cared enough for these women's souls to do the hard, right thing.

However, reception of Holy Communion is not a right in the Church, and the confusion created by the lesbian couple’s self-proclaimed behavior required Rev. Jacobson to enforce canon law 915: “Those [...] who obstinately persist in manifest grave sin are not to be admitted to Holy Communion.”

Which leaves Leah Vader and Lynne Huskinson unable to receive at this point in time. And yeah, her name is really Leah Vader. You can't make this stuff up folks. Got to wonder how that letter read...."I find your lack of obedience disturbing."

But the fact of the matter is, that this had to happen. These women were outspoken proponents of behavior in direct violation with Church teachings. And you can't stay if that's what you do. Regardless of how anyone behaves, Vatican II did not mean anything goes.

A quick correction, the journalist I wrote about brought it to my attention that the pervert priest he investigated in San Diego was not his pastor, nor was it his parish. And who gives probation to a creep possessing child porn?????

If only all our bishops could remember when they are here on earth to do. Save souls. We seriously need our bishops to step up. And I get to start making future bishop recommendations to the Vatican. Really, this is an area that could use a bit more laity input. But only after they have aced this test. Do you know your Baltimore Catechism? For the record, I aced it.

And for the record, when this is a headline in your diocese Bongos, Dancers, and Father-Mother God, you ain't doing your job. Not to worry, this isn't a mass we are talking about, it's a GENERAL LITURGY. And no, I don't know what the heck that is, but with the description, I think it's just begging for some fire and brimstone. Rohr changed some of the prayers of the Liturgy of the Eucharist. Opening the preface, he prayed,

“Father and Mother God....” Before the consecration of the host, he said, “before he was given up to death, a death he said ‘Yes’ to....” And before the consecration of the wine, Rohr prayed, “when supper was ended, he gave you thanks and praise, gave the cup to his beloved....” Following the consecration, Rohr said the Christ's blood “will be poured out for you, and for all, so you will know your sins are forgiven.” In praying for the departed, he referred to them as “especially your own beloved who are already with the Lord.”

I strongly recommend a little light reading for the good father Rohr, or is that Mother/Father Rohr? It's called SACRAMENTUM CARITATIS. It's new. You might one to give it a gander. It's written by the same guy who reminded us that

Well Sean Hannity (which is Gaelic for Hewhotalkstoomuchandchokesonhisownfoot) has got his panties in a wad. Apparently he is upset by the fact that he has been called out on his public dissent from Catholic teaching. And apparently he believes that studying Latin in a seminary allows him to spout off on issues that he knows precious little. He made a fool of himself. I'm sorry dude, loudly proclaiming yourself a "devout Catholic" and complaining about "cheap shot" when he PUBLICLY dissents from the Church. This would be the same Sean Hannity who claimed that proabortion politicians should not be denied Communion.

So Fox's priest on staff called out Fr. Eutenuer in an open letter. His chief complaint is that Fr. Eutenuer did not approach Sean privately and called him out publicly. It is important to note that Fr. Morris is a member of Legionaries of Christ, which could be why he seems so shaken up by the scandals in the Church. Knowing that, I did find his letter heartbreaking rather than cowardly, which has been the typically reaction in the blogosphere.

So Fr. Eutenuer wrote back, noting that he did indeed try to speak to Sean privately. Which tended to be people's chief complaint. And so it continues...

Some odd happenings at other parishes through out the country. A Catholic journalist is forbidden from attending the only Catholic church in town. Why? Because he investigated the relationship between the pastor and his secretary. The journalist insists that he only observes the two in public areas, and is now forbidden from coming within 500 years of the pair. (Which sounds just wrong since we are allegedly speaking of a celibate priest.)

This is how the priest laid it out to the community.

Carolyn has worked for me for over 10 years as my secretary, office director and hostess... Carolyn cooks for me, both here at the office and at her home... Carolyn has made trips to Savannah with me, when I’ve taken our Gartland award winners, when I’ve taken our 50th anniversary couples and to ordinations of our seminarians... Carolyn has been a hostess to my family who has visited from Ireland. They have stayed at her apartment, she traveled with them...she has gone to Ireland with me on... She has paid her own way for all these trips.

If this relationship is EXACTLY as he describes, then it is entirely inappropriate. A single woman traveling with a priest? Inappropriate. A single woman entertaining a priest in her home, alone, numerous times? Inappropriate. It stinks to high heaven and leaves both the priest and the woman open to the scandal that is now unfolding. And, by the way, I want to work in a parish where I can afford to head over to Ireland whenever I feel like it. I am also concerned by the fact that this gal gets to use the priest's car while he was gone, and that the priest did not deny that he engaged in public displays of affection with his secretary. Nor did he admit that his relationship might cause scandal and tone it down a bit. No, he and she both, took out restraining orders against the guy shadowing them in public. Which, if you have nothing to hide, seems like an odd step to me.

Not that I am big on the laity stalking their priests to make sure they are behaving. However, if you are an investigative journalist, then it's not quite as odd, although I still am not comfortable with it. The journalist insists he was just following them and did not approach them. And he is not the only parishioner to observe conduct that appeared to cross the lines of propriety.

The journalist, Robert Kumpel, is not exactly a rogue journalist. Nor is he unfamiliar with scandal. Or restraining orders. He got hit with one in San Diego after stepping (literally) on the toes of a diocesan official. And he was run out of a parish in San Diego after questioning the behavior of the priest there. Funny thing, that priest was arrested a short time later for possessing child pornography.

I found the comments by parishioners defending the priest to be downright cruel, attacking Kumpel's children, and enlightening at the same time.

I have lots of protestant friends, and some that are homosexual and believe it or not I know some people who voted for Kerry! Oh, and lots of our parishioners are divorced and remarried--I bet some of them even take the "pill"--get over it and worry about your own souls!

So I am left thinking, that this priest ought to seriously cut back on his entertaining and get to saving the souls of his flock. Because something is not right here. Parishioners know more about his social life then they do about church teaching.

In the category of things that make you go hmmm.....falls this article. I do remembering why Dylan, back when this did occur. The guy is seriously old, and well, aside from writing some catchy tunes, really did a lot more harm than good back in his day. (Before you go off on me, check in with some people who have suffered in Communist Vietnam...then we'll talk.) And while I am happy that he became a born again Christian and sang some Christian songs, Johnny Cash would have been way cooler and a bigger draw. Although John Paul the Great was there, he's plenty of draw himself. And I don't buy the article's assertion that John Paul's popularity soared due to his appearance with Dylan.

He also warned the young against the "subliminal" satanic influence to be found in songs by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Eagles, Pink Floyd, Queen and Led Zeppelin.

I do hope someone might help this current pontiff to possibly get just a little more current with his music. There are plenty of issues that can be addressed with what passes for music now, without sounding like you're reading off your parent's record list. Just a thought.

This is interesting, but very fitting if you think about it. In March 1856, a black slave named Dred Scott was judged by the US Supreme Court to be less than a person. Today his great, great granddaughter, Lynne Jackson, is pointing to the case as a beacon of hope that full human rights will be extended to all citizens, regardless of their age, size or degree of dependency. She joins Dr. Martin Luther King's niece in fighting against the greatest civil rights violation this country has ever known. And the African American community is taking the brunt of this onslaught. Just as Margaret Sanger intended. Sites like blackgenocide.org are beginning to spread the word. But you have to wonder, at what point in time is someone somewhere going to yell "wake up" to this community. While they all get carried away celebrating B. Hussein Obama, who has a 100% approval rating from NARAL and Planned Parenthood spanning over ten years, they fail to recognize that he is helping continue the racial cleansing that is occurring in this country. And a country that sits by while it's children are murdered cannot survive.

I don't know how he did it, but somehow Patrick Fitzgerald managed to get the OJ jurors back in business again. That's got to be the only way a group this stupid was allowed to assembled unsupervised. In fact, less than 48 hours after the verdict that ought to live in infamy, we have a juror calling for Bush to pardon Libby. That's right, Einstein over there voted to convict and then went "oops, my bad." Good lord, can these people even be relied upon to breathe on their own? “It kind of bothers me that there was this whole big crime being investigated and he got caught up in the investigation as opposed to in the actual crime that was supposedly committed.” Ummm....earth to space cadet, there was no crime committed. But nice catch on the utter idiocy of the whole situation.

Then again, we all know the penalty for lying under oath...you lose your law license for a couple years. That's what happens when you lie under oath, have your girlfriend/co-conspirator sign a false affidavit and then swear to its veracity and have your lawyer file false statements on your behalf. And if you break into the National Archives, steal documents and destroy them, you get to sweep sidewalks for a month. So buck up Libbey.

Then there is the neighbor of Tim Russert and former associate of Bob Woodward's who was juror number nine. How he was allowed remain in the jury pool is beyond me. The guy knew two of the prosecution's chief witnesses; this whole trial came down to he said/he said between Libby and Russert. Yet this guy remained. In all fairness to Libby's lawyers, they had used up all their challenges before they got to this guy. They couldn't believe the judge allowed him to remain. And the judge, guess he's banking on a HILLARY! win in '08 and a promotion or two.

Speaking of HILLARY! Looks like the New York Times still has her back. Look out. B. Hussein Obama, that squeaky clean image of you ain't going to stay clean.

I guessing that the Scooter Libby jurors are trying to stay in court longer than the wrangling over Shewhosnamewillnotbementionedonmyblog and all that broohaha. I guess that was for all those who weren't humiliated by our justice system back in the days of OJ.

Things never looked that great for Scooter, and the the judge refused to allow his defense mention that Ms. Blame or Plame or whatever her name is, was not covert, no laws were broken etc, etc, etc. I mean really, who wants to obscure anything with facts.

We would like clarification of the term 'reasonable doubt,'" jurors wrote. "Specifically, is it necessary for the government to present evidence that it is not humanly possible for someone not to recall an event in order to find guilt beyond a reasonable doubt."

You know, it's high stinkin' time for professional jurors. It appears to me that there is reasonable doubt already, and that there is a hold out who refuses to convict in this sham trial.

The five charges against Libby carry a combined top penalty of 30 years in prison, but federal sentencing guidelines would call for a far shorter sentence — possibly one to three years — even if he were convicted of all five counts.

In stories covering this, this continues to be the last paragraph. One could wonder if the media is trying to influence (I'm shocked, shocked I tell you) the jurors. Don't worry folks, he won't be gone long.....

Considering the whole Ann Colture brohaha which is going to grow for about 10 years, I am going to post this and leave it at that. While I got a good laugh over the Edwards clip during the 2004 election, the splicing and dicing is particularly enjoyable. And that's all I have to say about that.

So the Salvation Army is being sued for Religious Discrimination. And the guy suing has a point.

When asked if he was a Christian, Clark said he was a Catholic and was then informed that was why he was not selected for the position, according to the lawsuit. The lawsuit said Clark complained to the Salvation Army's national headquarters, and left the organization on Aug. 19, 2005.

That does sound like religious discrimination and a totally stupid employee. Really, I mean, who tells some one "Yup, we didn't hire you because you are Catholic." Unless it was the SA's lawyer, and he makes more if they get sued.

But so what? It's a religious organization and they should be able to promote and not promote whomever they choose. I don't want some stupid precedent that froces Catholic Charities to have to promote Mulah Dirkadirka. It's their charity, and their religion, quit whining.

Now I have been blown away by how many idiots think that A) Catholics aren't Christians and B) Okay since you insist you are Christians we give you that but it's his own fault for saying he was Catholic not Christian. No, the guy answered honestly, giving a more prescise answer than was asked for, but still, he answered that he was a Christian. And he was discriminated against, but, I think that is clearly within the rights of the SA. And it does give me pause when I consider donating to them.

I had one of the most enjoyable parenting moment ever yesterday. In order maintain some sort of guise of anonymity I will refer to my offspring as the youngest in the family does. The elder daughter is named "Baba" and the younger refers to herself as "Baby."

So Baba and Baby were particularly naughty yesterday. Baba drew on the walls with a pencil, a pencil I sharpened for her no less, and Baby added red marker to the mix. Where was I? Scrubbing the crayon off the walls in their room.

Baba tried to pin the blame on Baby alone, but since she was holding the pencil, and I sharpened it for her, I jumped on that like ocean view property in Arizona. Baby kept pointing to the wall and yelling "Baba." So they both got wall scrubbing duties. And then were sent to bed.

Baby, not yet being two, thought this was unbelievably cruel. And voiced her opinions, for about an hour. I kept putting her in bed, she kept getting out. It got quiet, and then the phone rang. I was puzzled for a moment, since it was me calling me. Or my cell phone calling my home phone. (I use my cell phone as an alarm clock) So, Baby, not satisfied with being contained in her bed, in my room, decided to mess with stuff. Well, this could be fun. And it was.

I answered the phone, which was promptly dropped on the other side. So I said "Baby, what are you doing?" There was no answer. "Baby, why are you playing with Mama's phone?" No answer. "Baby, you get into bed right now!" That produced screams and tears and yelling. And other odd sounds. More yelling and crying. "Baby, you get into bed and you stay there." More outrage. I thought I should hand up my cell phone so I walk into my bedroom.

Baby was sitting in her bed, pointing to the phone and going off on me. (the only discernible word in her yelling was Mama) I hung up both. My cell phone was laying upside down on the nightstand, and Baby was clearly upset that she had been busted.

Knowing that Mama had eyes everywhere, Baby stayed in bed and took a nap.

Cuz these guys can't keep their stories straight, which typically happens when you lie, and I am so totally confused. I mean, come on guys, who cares? Really, this will be debunked after the documentary is released. I mean debunked by those who actually entertained the possibility that this was legitimate to begin with. Remember that last, great ossuary find, you know, the fraud? What I find funny is how many protestants blindly jumped on that bandwagon, because it seemed to indicate that The Lord had brothers, which shot down a Catholic dogma. Meanwhile Catholics can just sit back, look at the calendar, know it is Lent and that we will do this again next year.

Although...the Qur'an teaches that The Lord was raised bodily into Heaven, and that He will come and convert the whole world to their particular zany set of beliefs. I could be seriously entertained if James Cameron has to deal with irate Muslims. He's playing with fire in about twenty-seven different ways.

So the Supreme Court just refused to consider the 200 year sentence for a man convicted of possessing child pornography. While intellectually I do think that this does constitute cruel and unusual punishment, due to the way the prosecutor choose to order the charges. But emotionally, I don't give a tiny rat's hinney over the fact that this fellow (must remember he is a child of God) will never see freedom again, nor have access to images of three year olds being raped.

True, if he actually murdered a child he would be out of jail sooner, but maybe that just indicates that our sentencing guidelines for murder are a bit weak. And considering Christ's admonition to those who led little ones astray, yeah, I don't think I will lose much sleep over this guy. Former teacher to boot.

Well looky here...Youth Coach Charged with Child Pornography Possession. But that's not the story, he's the former president of the local chapter of the ACLU. I'm shocked, shocked I tell you. His activities have been going on for years, which could explain why he found himself drawn to the ACLU.

The boy kidnapped in Florida at gunpoint, was taken hostage by an illegal alien in a kidnap for ransom scheme. So what part of the hard work ethic and desire for a better life does this fall under? After all, that's why they are pouring into this country, according to the President. Thanks again guys. But I rest easy knowing that we put our border patrol agents in jail, especially if they take action against cars trying to run them over.

Had first trip to ER with baby. I just spent $1500 (at least that's what a trip to the ER cost me three years ago, and yes that's $1500 out of pocket) for a doctor to look at my daughter, tell me "Yep, I can't do anything about that" and walk out of the room. So the result, baby will have a scar just like her mother, right next to her eye.

As a result, blogging fell by the wayside, followed up by Hubby hogging the computer. Allegedly eBay, but he gets as distracted as I do, researching the various things we do. Me, things to blog on, him, things to sell...or buy. There's plenty to talk about, but first I have to delve into topics I meant to last week.

First of all, the Whaaaaabulance that ought to have been called for Nancy Pelosi. She continues to embarrass all women. Calling the White House to tell on Dick Cheney is a move of childishness surprising for even Congress. Does she think his mom lives there or something? But Cheney, being the awesomeness that he is, handled the situation.

I'm not sure what part of it is that Nancy disagreed with. She accused me of questioning her patriotism. I didn't question her patriotism. I questioned her
judgment."

No Dick, not the facts, this isn't about the fact. After all, it's about how his comments made Nancy (is it just me of does she look a lot like the Joker?) feel. "

You also have to be accountable for the results. What are the consequences of that? What happens if we withdraw from Iraq?," he said. "And the point I made and I'll make it again is that al-Qaida functions on the basis that they think they can break our will. And speaking of cheese eating surrender monkeys...remember last fall when just about every car in France was tourching "disenfranchised youths" also pronouced crazy islamic youths? Yeah, that. When two teenagers ran from police, hid in a power substation and were electrocuted. Well, the officers who attempted to arrest the youths and then chased them when they ran (which in civilized countries is considered proper police work) have now been charged in their deaths. Yup that's right. Punks break the law, punks run from police, punks trespass in dangerous areas, punks electrocute themselve, police get charged.

The nationwide riots in fall 2005 raged through housing projects in troubled neighborhoods with large minority populations. Although they stemmed from the teens' deaths, they were fueled by deeper problems of discrimination, unemployment and a sense of alienation from French society.

Well who the heck is alienating themselves from French society? I would guess the people who wrapped themselves in sheets before venturing outdoors, burn anything with four wheels, and get offended by everyone else living their lives.

Anger has continued to simmer, and attackers have ambushed police several times in recent months and torched public buses.

So let's indict the police officers, that'll show them! Thank heavens these clowns didn't end up with us in Iraq.

Well the akadamy awardz are here. I don't know anything about them this year. That's because movies in general stink to high heaven. It's gotten so bad that God's actually sitting up there with a clothes pin on His nose. Really, Al Gore is up to win for best song. That's the best we can come up with in this country.

I think that Letters from Iwo Jima is nominated for best picture. Now, I can't tell you why. This movie cost me close to ten hours of my life...at least that's what it felt like. It moved at the speed of frozen sludge. It certainly didn't help that I really could care less about the characters in the film. In fact, I spent the whole movie thinking, well when that one dies, it's one less psychotic suicidal manic trying to kill my grandfather. Yeah, it's kind of hard to get emotionally involved with a film that is based upon letters written by dudes who had it out for my family members.

I just can't be sympathetic to the Japanese in World War II (unless of course you are talking about the innocent ones who were interred...and not all those who were interred were innocent...then again, they weren't Japanese, they were Americans). I just can't be sympathetic to the Germans either, I don't care how pregnant their wives are, they are fighting for a corrupt and evil cause. And the Japanese have no one but their idiot leaders to blame for their predicament. What they think would happen when they woke up and shrieked Bonzai, Bonzai, Bonzai and bombed Pearl Harbor? Dude, ya'll yammer on and on about dying with honor, conveniently forgetting that Japan lost her collective honor on December 7th, 1941. If ya'll had tried living with honor you wouldn't be here right now. So no, I failed to be moved by their honorable deaths.

And let's talk about those honorable deaths. I mean really, Al Qeada would be impressed. Huh, looks like we lost, let's blow ourselves up. Who does that? Oh yeah, the idiots who decide to bomb the US and then spend the next four years running for cover while shouting "whoops, our bad." Not that I am complaining that so many decided to eliminate themselves from the battlefield, or that commanders decided to off those who didn't perform according to expectations (after all, fewer to try and kill my grandpa) but where's the honor in that. What messed up culture thinks, "hmmm....I think I'll kill myself (or some female relative) to protect my honor." And thank God that culture isn't running things. Laying down your life for your country, I can find honor in that.

You know what's despicable? Making a movie, during a time of war that depicts American Marines murdering surrendering prisoners of war. And, because Hollywood is such a purveyor of filth, portraying the Japanese as giving the last of their morphine to wounded American GIs. What does Hollywood think? That no one in this country has picked up a book and actually read about the horrific behavior of the Japanese during World War II, especially in their treatment of prisoners of war. The Japanese were outdone in the arena of atrocities by Germany only because Hitler had a head start. Don't think for a minute, that if they had thought about gas chambers, they wouldn't have herded the Chinese into them.

At this is the side that we are supposed to feel sympathy for. All I thought was "Thank God I'm American." I actually stopped paying attention to the movie and started praying for the brave souls who lost their lives on Iwo Jima. I don't think that's what Clint was trying to accomplish.

But there you go, one of the best pictures made in this country, murdering American GIs. Yep, that's the best we can do. Then again, these are the same clowns who thought Titanic was the best movie made ever and that It's Hard Out Here For A Pimp was the best song. And that's why I don't care...

Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Amilia Taylor, world's tiniest baby. Yes, that's a ball point pen next to her.

Amilia was born at 21 weeks six days, and she came out fighting. She was able to breathe without assistance. She weighed only 10 oz. Now she's a whopping 4 pounds and extraordinarily healthy.

As she heads home, keep her in your prayers. And thank her for her courage and strength. She has sent a powerful message across the country. She, single handily, has redefined viability. Not bad for a 9 1/2 inch, 10 oz little lady.

So our fearless leaders in the Senate threatened to filibuster and killed the non-binding Support Terrorism resolution. I believe the vote was 56 in favor, not the sixty need to achieve cloture. Never fear, Harry Reid, always a little on the dim side of life, declared a victory, because the resolution to run received a majority of votes. So it won. This is great news, apparently all those judicial nominees were really confirmed after all, having received a majority of votes and all.

So a guy kills five people in a mall in Utah. Guess what....he's a Bosian immigrant/refugee. Any guesses as to his immigration status? Any guesses towards his religious affiliation? Here's a hint, Solejman is an islamic name. And he was not registered as a student at Bringham Young University. But just as with the DC snipers, there is no known motive. Let's look at some other random acts of terror in the last few years, all of which had no known motives.

The guy at L.A. airport College; Kid blew hiself up in Texas; SUV driver at UNC;
Chapel Hill Gun man who killed jewish kids at day care; the shooting at a Jewish Center in Seattle; kid who flew his plane into Tampa highrise (his suicide note praise Osama and 9/11)...

None of these people were Unitarians. And I am not one to see conspiricies lurking in the shadows, although no Christian would name their kid any variation of Suleiman, if you ask me. But couple this with our latest arrest in the war on terror, and well, 24 ain't looking so much like fiction.

In case any of you missed the first of the two hours of 24, blogs4bauer will get you caught up. And this might help you with the nicknames, but not likely since it hasn't been updated since last season.

Now I realize that a nuclear bomb did go off in LA, but did it really vaporize every single car in the state? There was a reason why OJ's chase couldn't go any faster than 20 mph. And I realize that nothing can stop Jack Bauer, but I would like to see how he actually deals with traffic.

And it is nice to know that have a drill shoved through your shoulder will not prevent you from attacking the keyboard 20 minutes later. Or that flying across the country to meet with the president, in his top secret bunker, can be accomplished in less than two hours if you are an international terrorist.

It seems a little odd that Jack's father is willing to kill his sons and his grandson, who ain't Graem Bauer's kid if you know what I mean, to protect his company. Unless you think about what his company actually accomplishes. Not decommissioning nukes, because we all saw how well that went. I was think of something a little bigger. Now, it is going to be a little tricky for the guy to stay alive until 2063, considering the fact that Jack Bauer is about to get seriously ticked at him. There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in January.In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in themonth of January. That's just one American city,about as deadly as the entire war-torn country of Iraq ..
